I will only sell books that I have personally read so that I can review them for you. Below are some of my favorites. Can you tell I like baseball?
The Science of Hitting by Ted Williams - I can't say enough about this book as an instructional aid. I play in a men's baseball league and my average and power had been decreasing over the last few years (I am 40 years old). My kids got me this for my birthday this year and I am hitting close to .450 this season. It also has entertaining thoughts by Williams. He certainly speaks his mind.
Ball Four by Jim Bouton - This book made me want to be in professional baseball so bad. It is a season-long diary, and it is very funny. A real first-hand look at what life on the road with a major league team is like. Probably better suited for those 16 years and older
Bill James Historical Baseball Abstract by Bill James - I LOVE this book. I have read it over and over and now have it practically memorized. If you like statistics, player comparisons and arguing about who the greatest players of all-time are, then this book is for you. You will also learn a lot about the history of baseball, it's teams and players.
The Natural by Bernard Malamud - As usual, the movie wasn't exactly like the book, so if you have already seen the great movie, the book will still be a new experience. I liked it because it was a dark and different look at baseball.
1001 Baseball Questions - Now you too can become a baseball trivia master and learn a lot of stuff at the same time.
